One among popular speaking topics is Harnessing the Power of Collaboration. Co-operate profits and workforces, both suffer when collaboration is low. Individuals lose the opportunity to work in the kind of inclusive environment that releases creativity, energizes teams and makes working together both productive and joyful.
Here are four insights for harnessing the power of collaboration: 1. Collaboration is a leadership issue: Collaboration is more than the technology that supports it, and also more than a business strategy aimed at optimizing organization's experience and expertise. First and foremost, Collaboration is a change in attitude and behavior of people throughout an organization. And, successful collaboration is a leadership issue. 2. Essential for organizational change: How creative, smart and savvy a leader may be, but he or she can't transform an organization, a team or a department without the brain power and commitment of others. Here the change involves creating new products, processes or a total reinvention of how the organization must operate and position itself, success dictates that the individuals impacted by change be involved in the change from the very beginning. 3. Diversity is crucial: Diversity causes people to consider perspectives and possibilities that would otherwise be ignored. So, group members who think alike or are trained in similar disciplines with similar bases of knowledge run the risk of becoming insular in their ideas. Rather than exploring alternatives, confirmation bias takes over and members tend to reinforce one another's predisposition. 4. Trust is the glue: Trust is the confidence that one party has the integrity, reliability and honesty of another party. Recently, I conducted a survey of middle managers in an attempt to pinpoint the state of trust and knowledge sharing in their various organizations, and found that suspicious and cynical employees are disinclined to collaborate. And, many corporate leaders still don’t trust employees with the kind of open communication that is the foundation of informed collaboration. Now a day, corporation exists in an increasingly complex and ever-shifting ocean of change. So, leaders need to rely more than ever on the intelligence and resourcefulness of their staff. Now, collaboration is an essential ingredient for organizational survival and success.

We are living in a connected world. There are a number of apps today that help to solve problems you didn't even know you had and predicts the needs before you notice them. When you can constantly be connected to the Internet, doors for technology solutions opens to every challenge.
Collaboration: A Solution for Current Challenges One method to prevail over current challenges is through collaboration with other companies. Today's marketplace requires mutually beneficial partnerships to leverage creativity, resources and experience, with right and left-brain thinkers that helps you to arrive at solutions quickly. It is the classic buy or build question, but collaboration is a better and more efficient way to achieve your goal, because speed is the king in highly competitive markets. With collaboration, businesses are able to innovate much more quickly and can even create solutions to problems that may not be prevalent issues yet. Example: Take an example of streaming video services. According to ABI research, the market for streaming video services is growing rapidly and by 2015, it is expected to hit $20 billion. As the market for these services is growing, the providers are facing the challenge of developing services that are more social in nature. But if they looked externally, one could say that they would find opportunities to collaborate with other developers or startups to arrive at solutions in less time. Although cooperating with other companies in your own industry may seem counterintuitive to competitiveness, but it's not like that. Some companies like Alturacs is collaborating with content providers and software developers to provide live TV and video-on-demand content both inside and away from home to TV customers. With this partnership, the company has developed a Mobile app which delivers an easy, seamless way for its customers to watch their favorite programming and content wherever, whenever they want. So, we can say that collaboration is no longer just a strategy, but a key to long-term business success and competitiveness. Organizations that realize this soon, will be the ones who win the game and succeed in the new global economy. Today, organizations are struggling with moving data and other IT assets to the cloud for a number of reasons. The one among the biggest fears is the lack of control over the security of the data and assets. It is important for cloud providers to create a platform that is as secure as possible. Enterprises prefers to choose to conduct business with the providers who they feel offer the best protection, so security has now become a competitive advantage.
Why we need Secure collaboration? Every organization, deployed several security controls to ensure that their customers have a safe environment in which to conduct business. And, strong authentication is one of those critical controls. Often, it is asked why it is so important, and the answer is quite simple, 'customers need it.' Here are two simple reasons to explain this:
